When planning your trip to Tokyo, researching the different passes and discounts available for trains, attractions etc, is quite a daunting task. These discounts and passes are a great way of saving money as we travel throughout
But there are so many more passes on offer, more suited for travelling within Tokyo and the Kanto region. As a JR pass does not cover all the train lines, buses etc combining passes can help you save a lot of money

This Tokyo Discounts & Travel Passes guide was made after a few weeks of researching online, visiting tourism offices in Japan, and visiting the ticket offices at different train lines and attractions to discuss what options are available. The last 2 being unavailable to those already in Japan can make planning ahead quite difficult. My guide includes passes for the Japan Rail Lines, Tokyo Metro Lines, Airport transfers, Rinkai Line, and more.
